What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Like most websites, MyLowerBloodPressure.com makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track movement around the site and gather demographic information. Please be reassured that these IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments is checked through an automated spam detection service. Akismet is enabled on this site, and contact form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.
We keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.
In order to record page views via WordPress.com Stats (which must be enabled for page view tracking to work) with additional loads, the following information is used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.
Activity Tracked: Page views will be tracked with each additional load (i.e. when you scroll down to the bottom of the page and a new set of posts loads automatically). A page view event will also be sent to the appropriate Google Analytics account with each additional load.
Cookies and Web Beacons
If you leave a comment, the comment author’s name, email address, and site URL (if provided during the comment submission) are stored in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. Learn more about these cookies

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
This site uses Google Analytics to benchmark its performance, the number of visitors and how the website is used. Aside from the approximate location (IP address), the information collected by Google Analytics is mostly anonymous traffic data including browser information, device information and language. The collected data is used to provide an overview of how people in general are accessing and using the MyLowerBloodPressure website. It is not used for any additional purpose or to profile those who access our website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
You can opt out of all communication with MyLowerBloodPressure.com simply by leaving this site.
If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
